Good Friday Appeal 2025

My man Brodi <3

Hi! My name is Sarah and I would love if you would join me in raising money for the Good Friday Appeal.

For anyone that does not know me, my son Brodi has been a patient at the Royal Children's Hospital. Brodi was born with Aortic stenosis, Hypoplasia or the aortic arch, coarctation of aorta and PDA (patent ductus arteriosus). All these technical terms basically mean that if Brodi did not get the care he was provided at the Royal Children's, he would not be here today. Brodi had open heart surgery at just 3 days old, it was the most terrifying day of my life. But the amazing team at the Hospital worked there magic and now Brodi is the cheekiest most energetic little boy you would ever meet. However as he grows, who knows what challenges he may have to face. Time will tell. And we are very lucky to have an amazing cardiologist that we visit frequently at the Royal Children's so we can hopefully be more prepared for anything Brodi needs for his future.

This is why this fundraiser holds a special place in my heart. We will be forever grateful.

I‘ve created this page because I want to make a difference to the lives of sick kids.

The Good Friday Appeal relies on the support of the community to raise funds to ensure that The Royal Children's Hospital is able to continue to provide world class care to patients and their families. From 2024 to 2025 at The Royal Children's Hospital: 85,415 patients presented to the Emergency Department, 53,450 children and young people were admitted to a ward, 182,204 children and young people attended an ambulatory appointment, and 15,106 patients underwent surgery. So please help by giving whatever you are able to this fundraiser and help spread the word by sharing this page with your friends, family and networks. Thank you for your generosity, it means a lot!

with heart
