Ways to Get Involved
Your support helps thousands of patients every year at The Royal Children's Hospital
patients are seen in the Emergency Department
outpatient appointments are conducted
elective and emergency surgeries are performed
children admitted to the wards and day medical centre
Since 1931, the Good Friday Appeal has raised funds for The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. Over this time, funding has supported projects at the Hospital that have helped it become world leading.
With support from our wonderful community of fundraisers, the Good Friday Appeal can help the Hospital continue to provide world-class care to patients and their families by funding projects in four key areas:
- State of the art equipment and technology
- Ground breaking research
- Education and training for staff development
- Patient and family centred care programs
Thank you for choosing the Good Friday Appeal. Your fundraising efforts will make a real difference to the lives of children at The Royal Children's Hospital.
Tess’ head shave
Beautiful Tess shaved her head on her 9th birthday to raise money for the Good Friday Appeal to give back to the Hospital.
Tess asked her friends and family to sponsor her head shave through her fundraising page and she more than doubled her $1,500 target, raising $3,961 for the kids!
Raina’s 1st birthday celebration
For Raina’s 1st birthday, her parents set up a fundraising page and asked their friends and family for donations to the Good Friday Appeal instead of giving presents.
Her parents generously doubled the amount raised by their loved ones and in total donated an amazing $900 to the Appeal.
Harper’s Easter Egg Hunt
In memory of her daughter Harper Rose, Anita organised a virtual Easter Egg Hunt on Good Friday 2020 to replace a Family Day Festival fundraiser she was organising, due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Anita’s fundraising page raised an incredible $2,738 for the hospital!
