It’s that time of the year again…

Hey there, friends 👋🏼 Most of you know us and our story by now. Most of you know Jasper and how strong he is. And most of you know our little guy wouldn’t be where he is today without the Royal Children’s Hospital. Jasper has just turned 5, and has had seven procedures under general anaesthetic at RCH (so far). He’s faced Pierre-Robin Sequence, a jaw reconstruction, a cleft palate, 8 months being fed through a tube. He lived in the RCH NICU ward for his first 7 weeks of life, had a tumor cut out of his arm, wore a hearing aid followed by two sets of grommets, is still processing the trauma that resulted from it all. He’s been through more medical procedures and traumas in five years than most people have in their entire lives. But his medical history isn’t all there is to him. He’s also a kid who loves music and sport. He can name just about any construction vehicle you can think of, follow directions to make a packet cake mix, and unload the washing machine. He can ride a bike better than most adults I know, orders his own salmon sushi, and is the first to help his teachers pack up. This kiddo we were told might not live to see his first birthday just started school! Because of the support and treatment he was able to receive from the RCH, he is all of these magical things and more 🩵 Ours is just one story of millions that passes through the Royal Children’s Hospital. Our family is just one of millions who is helped by the wonderful people who donate so generously and selflessly to the Good Friday Appeal.
