Help Me Continue Supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital ❤️
Hi Everyone! Over the past three years, I’ve fundraised for the Royal Children's Hospital which is the place that gave me a second chance at life.
Thank you to the generosity of so many incredible people, we raised $28,013 in year one and $11,987 in year two, bringing our total to $40,000!
From colour fun runs, local events, singlet sales, school fundraisers, bake sales, and online donations, every single contribution helped and I truly couldn’t be more grateful.
Now, as I begin working alongside the Good Friday Appeal, I had a moment where I thought… maybe I don’t need to fundraise anymore.
But that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Because the reality is, every single dollar makes a difference and if I can bring more on board, I will help keep The Royal Children’s Hospital as amazing as what it is.
OUR goal is simple, and I say ‘Our’ because I didn’t just
raise this money, WE did. Without every single one of you who jumps on board, this wouldn’t
be possible:

My Why
For those who may not know my story, back in 2021, at just 16 years old, I was diagnosed with two life-threatening diseases, Meningitis and Encephalitis. They attacked both the inside and outside of my temporal lobe, which has left me with things I still battle with today.
One day I was a normal teenage girl with my whole future
ahead of me…
and the next, I was laying in a hospital bed unresponsive, and my parents were
invited in to say what could’ve been their final goodbye.
My future became unknown and my tomorrow wasn’t promised.
But thanks to the incredible care, treatment, and support from the Royal Children’s Hospital, I’m here today and I’m bloody thriving.
And that’s something I will never, ever take for granted.
Why Your Donation Matters
A lot of people actually don’t know where The Good Friday Appeal Funds go to!
When You donate, Your money goes towards:
- The 3 Million Dollars that fund an Organisation called ChIPS. This is a Chronic Illness Peer Support group, that every patient at the RCH is invited to join. This group goes on two camps a year and it’s a place these people feel supported and seen.
- Another 3 Million Dollars is donated to Regional Children’s Hospital all around Australia. The RCH is great, but not everyone lives in Melbourne! These funds will help support these rural hospitals allowing children to receive exceptional care no matter where they are!
- The funds purchase new and advanced technology, as well as lifesaving equipment.
- It goes to research to find cures and better treatments.
- It also goes to funding programs that support staff and family centered care. When I was unwell, not only did I receive the best care. But so did my family. At the RCH there is an exclusive ‘Family Hub’ it’s an area for patient’s families to chillax after visiting their loved ones. In this Family Hub, there is a cinema, a laundry, a sofa bed with linen provided, a kitchen and so much more. The hospital also has an on-site Childcare and Prayer/Meditation Space. I’m telling ya; this Hospital is the BEST hospital in the World, and because of your support, it can continue to be!
