Give for the kids!

Join me for the Good Friday Appeal.

Will you help me and do something really GOOD for sick kids?

I'm giving it my all to raise funds for the Good Friday Appeal this year. Why? So The Royal Children's Hospital can continue to provide the world-class care to seriously sick children and their families.

Please give generously. I've set a goal to raise as many funds as possible because this is our chance to make a brighter future for all kids.

Every dollar you give will help fund state-of-the-art equipment, groundbreaking research, staff training and patient care.

There have been SO MANY kids who have had life-saving care at The
Royal Children's Hospital. I need your help to make sure that kids can keep getting that special care this year, and the next… and the next.

I need your support to reach my fundraising goal and to help as many sick kids and their families as possible, please donate today.

I‘ve created this page because I want to make a difference to the lives of sick kids.

The Good Friday Appeal relies on the support of the community to raise funds to ensure that The Royal Children's Hospital is able to continue to provide world class care to patients and their families. From 2022 to 2023 at The Royal Children's Hospital: 90,260 patients presented to the Emergency Department, 50,345 children and young people were admitted to a ward, 407,563 children and young people attended an outpatient appointment, and 14,963 patients underwent surgery. So please help by giving whatever you are able to this fundraiser and help spread the word by sharing this page with your friends, family and networks. Thank you for your generosity, it means a lot!

My Updates

Winter

Tuesday 15th Apr
Winter is my daughter who is almost 1 years old.

We live in SA and recently travelled to the royal childrens hospital in Vic to have my daughter assessed as the SA drs and specialists couldnt work out what was happening with her. She was marked a medical mystery here and her specialist wiped his hands of her saying everything was diet related. She was put through tests here that included a 4 day diet of rice only- no formula and fasted for tests that were not only inaccurate for her age level but also impossible. In just 1 trip to the Royal childrens hospital they had worked out what was wrong with her. She did not have all these so called allergies an intolerances but in fact a condition called Toddler Diahorrea, she was also found to have sleep apneoa and tracheolaryngomalaecia. We also found out that she could have an airway surgery to secure her airway so she could come off the thickener and go on the reflux meds she requires and we could recommence dairy and all these other foods that she wasnt allowed to have here. Her quality of life since has been amazing. She is now loving food, drinking her bottles and no longer getting dehydrated.

They also seen my son whilst at the appointment for Winter and recognised he was pale so they asked to assess him even though it wasnt his appointment. They found he was severly anaemic and requested bloods to which we found out his blood count was low, he had high potassium levels and yes was severly anaemic. All of which hadnt been picked up in SA when he went to the SA Hospital 2 days prior.
