Suheera’s Epilepsy Support

Good Friday Appeal 2024

I’ve created this page to support kids with epilepsy.

Hi, I’m Suheera, I’m currently 12 years old, and I have epilepsy. My seizures started when I was about 10, I used to have a very low immune system, and I grew up in the hospital since I was 4. I was always a sick child, but on March 13th 2019, my first seizure happened. No one knew what happened to me and since then I have had epilepsy. I had multiple MRI’s and they all showed that I have spots in my brain and my spinal cord, and after multiple tests they found out I had inflammation in my brain. I’d take medication including steroids, and I’d always be on a IV. Now at this age I am still on multiple medications and no doctors have any clue what’s causing these problems. My dream is when i grow up is if I’m healthy, to be a doctor just like the ones that helped me. Please share awareness and help find a diagnosis, I’m sure there’s kids just like me who need help. 💕💕

I‘ve created this page because I want to make a difference to the lives of sick kids.

The Good Friday Appeal relies on the support of the community to raise funds to ensure that The Royal Children's Hospital is able to continue to provide world class care to patients and their families. From 2022 to 2023 at The Royal Children's Hospital: 90,260 patients presented to the Emergency Department, 50,345 children and young people were admitted to a ward, 407,563 children and young people attended an outpatient appointment, and 14,963 patients underwent surgery. So please help by giving whatever you are able to this fundraiser and help spread the word by sharing this page with your friends, family and networks. Thank you for your generosity, it means a lot!
