Good Friday Appeal 2024

I‘ve created this page because I want to make a difference to the lives of sick kids.

The Good Friday Appeal relies on the support of the community to raise funds to ensure that The Royal Children's Hospital is able to continue to provide world class care to patients and their families. From 2022 to 2023 at The Royal Children's Hospital: 90,260 patients presented to the Emergency Department, 50,345 children and young people were admitted to a ward, 407,563 children and young people attended an outpatient appointment, and 14,963 patients underwent surgery. So please help by giving whatever you are able to this fundraiser and help spread the word by sharing this page with your friends, family and networks. Lainey Mae James

Monday 26th Feb
Lainey Mae James, our gorgeous daughter was born January 2nd 2024, and unfortunately passed away on January 12 2024. 
Throughout her time on earth, we spent them inside The Royal Children’s Hospitals four walls.

Lainey was being amazingly cared for by the gorgeous doctors and nurses day in day out whilst on the Butterfly Ward (Newborn Intensive Care). 

Although it was Lainey in their care at The Royal Children’s Hospital, the doctors and nurses went above and beyond to care for us (Mum, Tiegan .. Dad, Michael and Big Brother, Arlo) also. 
Going through such a tough situation, it made it that slightest bit easier due to these amazing people who work at The Royal Children’s Hospital by their love, kindness and willingness to support us and hold in all ways possible. 

After experiencing first hand what goes on behind closed doors, how hard these doctors and nurses work and how much support and love The Royal Children’s Hospital offer you and give to families like us, donating to such an amazing foundation to support families who may need to be at the hospital like we were with our daughter Lainey is something that is super important to us so that we are able to honour Lainey’s memory in doing so.  
We urge our family, friends and all those who we may not know personally, to donate to this amazing foundation to support those silent heros at The Royal Children’s Hospital.
