Good Friday Appeal 2026

Give for the kids!

I'm making a difference this Good Friday Appeal, and I need your support.

We all know firsthand the life-saving work of The Royal Children's Hospital. They provide world-class care to seriously sick kids, and my goal is to help them continue that mission.

Every dollar we raise has an impact. This is our chance to ensure thousands of children get the special care they need—this year, and in the future.

Please donate generously and help me reach my target. Let's do something GOOD for the kids.

The Good Friday Appeal has been raising funds for sick kids and their families at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) for 95 years.

Through the generosity of the community, the RCH continues to deliver world‑class, comprehensive care.

Every dollar donated supports:

  • Ground‑breaking research
  • State‑of‑the‑art equipment
  • Training and unique patient‑centred care programs

In just one year (2024–2025), hundreds of thousands of kids were cared for:

  • 85,415 appointments for urgent and essential care in the Emergency Department
  • 53,450 admissions to a ward, where children and young people received expert, compassionate care
  • 15,106 surgeries, paving the way for brighter futures
  • An incredible 456,000 outpatients seen — that’s an average of 1,250 appointments a day

By supporting this fundraiser, you are part of the impact, helping children live their best possible lives.

Please help make a difference and share this page with your friends, families, and networks.

Thank you for giving for the kids.

with heart

Stefan's Story

Friday 27th Feb
Stefans Story;
During our early scan, we learned that Stefan had clubfoot -a common congenital condition (1 in 1,000 births) where both feet are turned inward and downward due to short, tight tendons.
Hearing that your son will be born with a birth defect is never easy to process.
We trusted The Royal Children's Hospital by following the Ponseti method, at 12 days old Stefan was put in plaster from his nappy to his toes, it was very hard for Stefan to sleep. He returned weekly to have a bath, change the cast and position for almost 2 months. the casting helped straighten his feet, followed by surgery to lengthen his Achilles tendon, he then moved on to wearing his boots and bar brace 23 hours per day for a few months and then wore them to bed every night for the first four years of his life. For Stefan, wearing that brace became all he ever knew. For me, it broke my heart putting them on him each night, i couldnt imagine what it felt like to sleep with your feet and legs held in place.
we took it one night at a time, pushing through until he’d reached 4 years old. When we were told Stefan no longer needed to wear his boots and bar ever again we were so happy for him.
The look on his face and the smile that came from hearing he was finally done with something that had grown more uncomfortable as he got older, made every difficult night worth it.

It broke my heart on every level but now that the treatment is behind us I’ll shout from the rooftops how proud I am of his resilience!!

Thanks to the Ponseti method, Stefan didn’t need the horrible surgeries they did in the past with some countries not having any treatment available. All thanks to The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne
