2024 Kokoda “ trek for the kids “

Good Friday Appeal 2024

On the 15th on July 2022 my son Callum was rushed to the emergency department at The Royal Children’s Hospital. Within the first 30 minutes of him being there he was taken into have a cat scan where they pin points the issue they found a mass in his brain. the next day he was taken in for an MRI where It was discovered that he had a brain tumour. The tumour was surrounded by an abscess on the back right side of his brain. The tumour and abscess was 5cm around and compressing his spinal cord which was slowing the flow of brain fluid getting to his brain. On the 17th of July he was taken in for surgery. 10 and a half hours long hours later he was out of the operation and his recovery began. The staff at The Royal Children’s Hospital we so supportive through the entire process. They offered so much guidance and advice along with physical therapies, ophthalmologists, check up appointment and so much more.

I've created this page because I want to make a difference to the lives of sick kids.
