The Good Friday Appeal relies on the support of the community to raise funds to ensure that The Royal Children's Hospital is able to continue to provide world class care to patients and their families. From 2022 to 2023 at The Royal Children's Hospital: 90,260 patients presented to the Emergency Department, 50,345 children and young people were admitted to a ward, 407,563 children and young people attended an outpatient appointment, and 14,963 patients underwent surgery. I am fund raising again this year for the Good Friday appeal as a way of saying thank you to all the doctors, nurses and other staff behind the scenes that make the Royal Children’s Hospital what it is.

My son Henry was diagnosed with AET arrhythmia in October 2022 at the age of one and spent sometime in the koala ward with the care from professor Andrew Davis and the cardiology team. We are still undergoing regular visits to the Royal children’s every 3 months. Along with the Wood pharmacy making up Henrys medication and sending it to us for Henry to have twice a day.

Thanks to The Royal Children’s Hospital from the bottom of our heart for keeping our little boy happy and healthy. Thank you everyone for your support and donations to The Royal Children’s Hospital that changes hundreds of little lives every single day and will continue to do so. Support and engagement with the Good Friday appeal can make huge difference for patients and their families who rely on the hospital and its staff for the care that they need.
