Join me for the Good Friday Appeal.

We have so much gratitude for the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) - who so dearly cared for my full term newborn when he had an unexpected and lengthy stay in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) due to a birth injury.Â
Full term babies end up in the NICU too. Not just premmies.
After spending less than 24 hours in Harry's birthing hospital's NICU, he was transferred to RCH NICU on Christmas Eve 2023.
They cared for him. Kept him breathing. Taught us how to safely NG tube feed and nurture him. Provided support.Â
I am grateful for the wonderful care team provided to our family. From the NICU nurses (who are the real heroes!), Neonatal Doctors, ENT Specialists, Speech Pathologists, Counsellors, Researchers to Midwives and the restaurants and cafes open during Christmas and NY holidays - who all touched our lives throughout our stay.
This photo is when baby Harry was 24 hours old and had just undergone his first medical procedure under a General Anaesthetic. I took a photo every day he was in NICU. This one was the most frightening images I took (and memories) that always made me break down. I can now reflect on it and see his journey of strength, my strength, and how far we have come.
I'm following my new tradition to raise funds for the Good Friday Appeal this year. Why? So The Royal Children's Hospital can continue to provide the world-class care to seriously sick children and their families.
Please give what you can. If it wasn't for the RCH, I wouldn't have been able to finally bring my baby home.
Every dollar you give will help fund state-of-the-art equipment, groundbreaking research, staff training and patient care.
There have been SO MANY kids who have had life-saving care at The
Royal Children's Hospital. I need your help to make sure that kids can keep getting that special care this year, and the next… and the next.
Please help as many sick kids just like Harry and their families as possible, please donate today.
For Harry and others like him.
