Hi! we are Coco and Ellie,

We love doing the Good Friday Appeal fundraiser and believe that this is a wonderful and fun thing people should get involved with and experience. Last year we did the run for kids and had such an amazing time, we ended up raising over $10,000. We hope we can reach beyond our goals this year for 2026.

in March 2022 Ellie was admitted to the Royal Children’s Hospital after suffering from a spinal cord stroke which came out of nowhere, she spent months in the hospital, and slowly the team at the royal children’s helped her regain her strength again and now here she is today running for the Good Friday appeal.

Coco wanted to do this fundraiser because her Auntie and other family members have been helped by the RCH. Her Aunt says “while it was hard at the time, I was still treated so kindly by all of the staff at the hospital, and I am forever grateful for them”.

these “stories” are what made us sign up for the Good Friday Appeal. We believe that every kid should deserve the fun opportunities in life. We really hope to raise more money this year and can’t wait for the run again! Thank you all so much ❤️

The Good Friday Appeal relies on the support of the community to raise funds to ensure that The Royal Children's Hospital is able to continue to provide world class care to patients and their families. From 2024 to 2025 at The Royal Children's Hospital: 85,415 patients presented to the Emergency Department, 53,450 children and young people were admitted to a ward, 182,204 children and young people attended an ambulatory appointment, and 15,106 patients underwent surgery.
