The Good Friday Appeal has been raising funds for sick kids and their families at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) for 95 years.

Through the generosity of the community, the RCH continues to deliver world‑class, comprehensive care.

Every dollar donated supports:

  • Ground‑breaking research
  • State‑of‑the‑art equipment
  • Training and unique patient‑centred care programs

In just one year (2024–2025), hundreds of thousands of kids were cared for:

  • 85,415 appointments for urgent and essential care in the Emergency Department
  • 53,450 admissions to a ward, where children and young people received expert, compassionate care
  • 15,106 surgeries, paving the way for brighter futures
  • An incredible 456,000 outpatients seen — that’s an average of 1,250 appointments a day

Thursday 12th Feb

My daughter was diagnosed with Kawasaki’s Disease at 4 months old, rare for her age and although easily treatable, can lead to life threatening complications. We were so scared and worried for our beautiful baby, but the Royal Children’s Hospital made one of the worst week’s of our lives a little better by acting quickly and giving us the best care possible. Because of their diligent care, she is now thriving and growing everyday. 


From now until Good Friday, my goal is to walk 300km, hoping to raise as much money as possible for the RCH so they can continue the amazing work they do. Please donate if you can! Thank you!
