This year will be my 18th Good Friday Appeal and I'm incredibly thankful to all the family and friends who've helped me collect more than $23,000 for the Royal Children's Hospital along the way. In 2025, our tally was $3,408. 

I was invited again this year to be the Regional Good Friday Ambassador for the Torquay and Surf Coast region which I see as an honour. I truly admire the amazing local volunteers – including Peter McMahon, Peter Thomas OAM and the Torquay Lions Club members  – who work so hard behind the scenes throughout the year to raise money for the Good Friday Appeal. 

There's absolutely no pressure to donate but if you do want to contribute, you can use my 'virtual tin'.

The Good Friday Appeal has been raising funds for sick kids and their families at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) for 95 years.

Through the generosity of the community, the RCH continues to deliver world‑class, comprehensive care.

Every dollar donated supports:

  • Ground‑breaking research
  • State‑of‑the‑art equipment
  • Training and unique patient‑centred care programs

In just one year (2024–2025), hundreds of thousands of kids were cared for:

  • 85,415 appointments for urgent and essential care in the Emergency Department
  • 53,450 admissions to a ward, where children and young people received expert, compassionate care
  • 15,106 surgeries, paving the way for brighter futures
  • An incredible 456,000 outpatients seen — that’s an average of 1,250 appointments a day
