We all know firsthand the life-saving work of The Royal Children's Hospital. They provide world-class care to seriously sick kids, and my goal is to help them continue that mission.
Every dollar we raise has an impact. This is our chance to ensure thousands of children get the special care they need—this year, and in the future.

Monday 23rd FebThis is my short version of why….
Ava was born seemingly healthy and doing everything right, in November 2017.As every new parent is guided to, we had Ava’s heel prick completed in hospital before discharging home.
What most parents don’t realise, is those tiny little 4 drops of blood onto a card can actually be lifesaving.
At 16 days old, we went from normal family life and adjusting to newborn life, to being told Ava had been diagnosed with a rare genetic metabolic disease- Maple Syrup Urine Disease - aka MSUD.Straight to GV Health, then airlifted to The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne
Our lives as we knew them were changed forever.
Our childhood journey is constantly supported by our fabulous Metabolic team.
Ava will never “grow out” of this disease.We have a very small community of 8 families that we know of who care and support eachother through daily questions and advice.
We are very grateful to these families and our team and will forever feel the need to return our love and support to this Appeal.
Until Good Friday, we will share snippets of our why, our journey, a special auction and handmade items from Ava and her sister Lexi, to be sold for Good Friday Appeal 2026.If you feel like donating anything at all throughout the coming months, we will be forever grateful.
