Our youngest warrior, Jaxon “THE BULL” Vinar was diagnosed on Wednesday, 6th March 2024 with Stage 4 Metastatic Germ Cell Tumour.

Since that day, Jaxon has fought every battle thrown his way:
• 1 major operation & time spent in PICU
• 13 general anaesthetics
• 5 hospital admissions
• 3 platelet transfusions
• 2 blood transfusions
• 6 rounds of chemotherapy

And through every moment, he’s shown the heart of a fighter. Thanks to the extraordinary love, care, and dedication of the incredible team at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

We’re forever grateful and proud to support the Good Friday Appeal so more families can receive the same life-changing care.

Last year we raised over $12,000 in our first ever fundraiser, and have some SPECIAL events lined to ensure we raise even more funds in 2026

The Good Friday Appeal has been raising funds for sick kids and their families at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) for 95 years.

Through the generosity of the community, the RCH continues to deliver world‑class, comprehensive care.

Every dollar donated supports:

  • Ground‑breaking research
  • State‑of‑the‑art equipment
  • Training and unique patient‑centred care programs

In just one year (2024–2025), hundreds of thousands of kids were cared for:

  • 85,415 appointments for urgent and essential care in the Emergency Department
  • 53,450 admissions to a ward, where children and young people received expert, compassionate care
  • 15,106 surgeries, paving the way for brighter futures
  • An incredible 456,000 outpatients seen — that’s an average of 1,250 appointments a day
