Good Friday Appeal 2025

Geelong

I‘ve created this page because I want to make a difference to the lives of sick kids.

The Good Friday Appeal relies on the support of the community to raise funds to ensure that The Royal Children's Hospital is able to continue to provide world class care to patients and their families. From 2022 to 2023 at The Royal Children's Hospital: 90,260 patients presented to the Emergency Department, 50,345 children and young people were admitted to a ward, 407,563 children and young people attended an outpatient appointment, and 14,963 patients underwent surgery. So please help by giving whatever you are able to this fundraiser and help spread the word by sharing this page with your friends, family and networks. Thank you for your generosity, it means a lot!

My Updates

$5000 💜💚

Monday 14th Apr
With your help we have managed to hit $5000 raised in Freddie's name, so with 5 days to go we raise our goal to $6K! Thankyou for helping us give back to RCH - after our second surgery (and hopefully last) last week, we were amazed at the care the team shown for all of the little people that come through their doors! We'll be back again for a follow up in July. How lucky we are to call this hospital ours 💚💜

Blown away 💚💜

Wednesday 2nd Apr
We've been back to RCH today for an Endocrinology review and we are scheduled for surgery #2 next week. We have been blown away by your support!! Thanks for helping us give back 💜💚

Thankyou ❤️

Sunday 30th Mar
Not even 24 hours after we shared that we wanted to give back, and we have smashed our first goal of $1000 - absolutely blown away, beyond words!! Thankyou ❤️

We'd love to help give back

Wednesday 12th Mar
You've followed Freddie's journey, and now we would love your help to give back.

Freddie's connection to the RCH started at just 8 hours old, followed by a 2 week stay in the butterfly ward, constant contact with the urology team while we spent 6 weeks in special care in Geelong, and then a final 1 week stint on Butterfly for surgery.
Over our time we had contact with many of the specialist teams for screening due to his Down Syndrome diagnosis, and management of his urological condition.

The programs implemented on Butterfly, such as the new mothers ward, the cocoon program and access to a midwife for Mum were integral to our stay, and we would love to support these being able to continue.

How lucky we are to have access to such a world class facility, now and into Freddie's future 💙🩵
